Mission Trip!

This has become the title of my blog. I chose it for two reasons...
#1: I wasn't connecting anymore with "Brooke's Story"
#2: Even though this is the love song(according to Jon Foreman), I feel the title of this song is so true to people, particuarly me. I am literally head over heels in all my doings.

To add to something that I posted earlier, CHHS is in the CIF 2AA finals on Saturday! If you want to come, I believe we might have a rooter bus taking students to the game. it is at Cypress College on Saturday at 1. Go Huskies!

Blessed

Short post for today...

Have you ever wondered how blessed we are? I haven't...at least not until I went down to L.A. with my dad for work. They have NOTHING. At all. And look at what we have. We want more...these people need more. We take all these things for granted. You never realize what you have...until you don't anymore. God is a Great God...and He has blessed us with what we have.

Husky Volleyball!

As majority of my readers know, my school is celebrating the 1st league championship for our Varsity Volleyball team in school history! With our 9-1 record, we took 1st place co-champs with St. Lucy's. The came our first ever CIF appearance against Oak Park. We won the game in three. The we traveled to Corona-Santiago. We again beat them in three. Now, tonight, our Lady Husky Volleyball, team is playing in the quarterfinals against Riverside Poly! This is amazing! This song was given to me by my best friend Chrissy Zschomler. I absolutely adore this song. We are all in a way, like Daisy in this song. We are looking to be in control, but then we give ourselves away. The world is perfect until we make one simple error. It has been meaning so much to me recently. I honestly made a huge mistake with my friends...I walked away from the true ones, to hang with the ones I thought were "better". And now, after "I gave myself away..." my friends are still uneasy...my true friends...what I needed was to let go of my prideful, jealous, self-glory nature...and I should have given it to God...

This is by far one of my favorite songs from one of my most favorite bands. You can hear both the orginial version and the version sung by Mandy Moore in the movie: A Walk To Remember. I highly recomend this movie. It is definitely an uplifting story, and it is a tear jerker. If you want to read the book, look for A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks.
