Junior High Christmas Project

This Christmas, the Jr. High group at my church decided to help out the community. All the groups in the group were all given a family to buy Christmas presents for. The eighth grade girls were gien the Rodriguez family. They had two girls and one boy. We all raised money to help purchase the gifts on the list. We got the oldest girl, Jasmin, a Monopoly game and a Hannah Montana blanket. We gave Briana a Barbie doll and some Hannah Montana clothes. We got the boy, Alexis, a soft, cute teddy bear. We got the parents a gift card to Wal-Mart.
Today, I went to church to help wrap gifts for the family with the Jr. High pastor, Nathan Goble, and my leader, Bailey Blazek. We wrapped the gifts and then we were off to deliver the gifts to the family. We had one of Nathan's friends named Joel, come and translate for us. We arrived at the home and when we got inside, we began handing out the gifts. The kids were very excited to get these gifts that we had bought for them. We heard a lot of "gracias" and "muchas gracias" from everyone. It was an awesome time to help a family in our community.
See ya soon! Merry Christmas!!!!

Well, when tournament season comes around, be sure you're rooting for the Rancho Valley 14-3 team! Rancho, you know!

Hume Lake!

I had the best time at Hume Lake this year! It was so much fun going up there to spend some time with my friends and to get closer to God.
The theme for this year was Rise of the Kinematics. When you went into the chapel, there was a HUGE robot staring down at you, and its hands would come down from the ceiling. How cool is that?!?!
Recreation was probably the best part of camp. You got to play games like the Fantastic Four, Relay Day, Dye Wars, and The Great Race. My team for rec was called the Granny Bots. My team ruled, but people said that we couldn't win because we were so old. Whatever! Overall, my team came in 5th place! We were so excited!!!!
Chapel was also pretty fun. We got to hear great music from the band, Campaign, we got to hear amazing truth from the Word of God from our speaker, Brent Crowe. At the end of the week, we got to go up to a place called Victory Circle, which was awesome. That week, I rededicated my life to God.
Camp was amazing this year. I am so excited to go to the High School camp in the years to come!
See ya soon!

I'm Back!

I just came back from an awesome trip at Shaver Lake, California. It was so much fun hanging out with all my friends!
During the trip, me, my dad, and Courtney all became sick! What a bummer! So on Wednesday, we drove down to Clovis to visit the Peachwood Medical Center Urgent Care. We were all given medications, and now we are feeling better!
Another exciting thing I did was I got up on 2 skis...for a whole minute! I was so shocked and surprised, but very excited at the same time!!! Next time, I hope I can ski longer.
There you have it... a glimpse of our adventure at Shaver Lake!

Beach Volleyball Updates

I have found a beach volleyball partner. In a post, I said that I would be playing with Mackenzie Dandoy. Insted, I will be playing with Christi Cameron. Christi and I went to school together untill 3rd grade, and she is best friends with some of my best friends. She plays indoor volleyball for Impact, but is looking to move to Club West, which is where I play.
The first tournament that Christi and I will play in is the 14 and under beach volleyball tournament at Manhattan Beach on Saturday, July 19. We are both looking foward to our first tournament together as a group. I will post the results of our tournament when we are done with it.
See you soon!

My Favorite Room in The House

In our house, which has 13 rooms, my number one room would have to be the media room on the second floor.
Let me describe the media room. It is the electronic place in our house because it is home to our big screen t.v., our computer, and our X-box. There are pictures on the wall of our entire family. Ther are also HUGE couches up there.
The reason why I think the media room is my favorite room is because our entire family hangs out there. Whether we are watching t.v.,checking out our blogs, or playing football on the X-box, we connect up there.
That is why the media room is my favorite room.

My Trip to the River!!!

From Sunday to Thursday, I went camping to the Colorado River. My family went with some of our closest friends: the Jackson's, the Rowland's, and the Minton's. We went tubing on the "pancake", went skiing, had many tire blowouts, had a boat break down that had to be fixed in Lake Havasu City, had a boat battery die, celebrated a birthday and an anniversary, and had a dog run across the 15 freeway. Pretty much what I would call a normal vacation!
The only downer about our vacation was the heat. When we got to the campground, Park Moabi, it was 120 degrees outside! It got cooler everyday, thankfully.
A pretty eventful thing that happened was when me and my friend, Reily, floated downriver to the next campsite! We were floating on a tube taking the current, and we had started paddling into shore too late!!! We were both freaked out so much!!! So when we reached the next campsite, we pulled the tube on shore, and we started walking back to our campsite. Only two problems: No people on that beach would help us, and, the sand was SUPER HOT!!!!!!!! Thankfully, we reached our beach with no blisters on our feet.
A great thing happened while we were on vacation. For the first time since I have been learning to waterski, I finally got up! The only bummer is I stayed up for only about ten seconds. But that still counts! I got up on two skis! (Now to try to stay up for ten minutes!)
Well, if your reading this, you may think that that wasn't a normal vacation. But in my book, it was!
See you soon!

Friday Fun

Well, so far, today has been pretty eventful. The best thing that happened today was my drama practice for VBS this summer. The theme of the entire VBS is an adventure park called Son World Adventure Park. The characters are a princess, a frog, a cowgirl, a spaceman, and a pirate. I am the frog, William. I think that I am the funniest person in the entire play! None of my friends in the play could control themselves from laughing!
In the skit, a friend, the cowgirl, goes missing. All of the rest of the characters set off on an adventure to find her. On the way, we find out more about everybody and about themselves. I think this VBS is going to be awesome!
Stay tuned for my next update!

Summer Time!!!

Now, that it is officially summer, (HOORAY!) I have decided to give you the lowdown on the things I will be doing this summer.
First of all, I have decided to become a "silent servant" in my home. When I do things around the house without being told, I will earn money. At the end of the summer, all of the money that I have earned will go to support teenage cancer research.
Another thing I will be doing this summer is I will be playing my favorite sport of all time, with a twist. I will be playing beach volleyball. My partner will be a friend that was on my club team, Mackenzie Dandoy. I am so excited for this opportunity to play.
I will also be going on many vacations. Near the end of June, we will be camping at the Colorado River with some close family friends. And in July, we will be camping at Shaver Lake with friends from our church. And we may possibly going as a family to Palm Springs. I will also be going to Hume Lake with the Jr. High group at my church.
See ya next time!
